LEO "THE LION" CLEARY won a bunch of features at tracks all over the northeast, starting at the old Norwood Arena in the 1950's.  Never a points chaser, Leo none the less finished in the top 10 in NASCAR National Modified points on 2 occasions, 1966 and 1968.  Leo won 13 Stafford Speedway victories in his career, including the 1973 Stafford 200.  Leo raced some of the best Modifieds of the era.
Leo was elected to the N.E.A.R., Hall of Fame in 1999.
