Some may have seen this photo before. It was taken after the first race run on the Stafford Speedway Asphalt in 1967. Ed Flemke won the race with Pete Hamilton 2nd and Dick Watson 3rd. From Left to Right in the front row, Midget Racing Great Johnny Kay doing some announcing on this night, Former Stafford Speedway Owner Mel Barlow, Eddie Flemke, Pete Hamilton and Dick Watson. Behind the announcer is left to right, David Gagliardi, Bob Hutchinson, Jim Cagliantry, wearing glasses and Mike Dindra, who raced some in the novice division at Plainville Stadium and was killed in Vietnam in December of 1968. Eddie drove the #2x and car owner Bob Judkins is behind Mel's left shoulder.

class of inductees into the New England Auto Racers Hall of Fame in 1998. |
