Dick Dixon was one of the most popular drivers in the 50's & 60's. There was no doubt who was behind the wheel when you saw the Famous 8 Ball roll out of the pits.
On February 1, 2004 Dick will be inducted into the New England Auto Racer's Hall of Fame (NEAR). NASCAR on Fox Mike Joy is the MC along with speakers Dick Berggren, Bones Bourcier, Ken Squire, Lew Boyd and others. Many of the former Hall of Fame inductees will be in attendance as usual. After a win at Riverside Park with his famous 8 Ball	Dick drove this 8 Ball on the UNITED Grand American Circuit, which at the time was the Northern Equivalent to NASCAR Winston Cup. Dick had many wins all over New England, New York & New Jersey in these cars. Dick also had quite a few top 5 finishes in the NASCAR Winston Cup which was then known as the Grand National Division.
Dick also drove for many of the top car owners. This is Riverside behind the wheel of the Garuti Brothers #14.	Dick with another of the Famous 8 Ball Modifieds, which always had his wife's name Sandra on the side.
