White Plains, New Yorks Ray Brown, one of the Pioneers of Auto Racing was the 2nd Champion at the Riverside Park Speedway racing under the UNITED STOCK CAR RACING CLUB Banner. He accomplished the feat in 1950. Ray raced at most of the tracks around the Northeast and New York area in the early days including the Waterford Speedbowl and the Dirt of Stafford Speedway. Rays greatest success though came on the tight 1/5 mile Riverside Park Speedway in the days when winning one race at Riverside was an accomplishment in itself.
